Hallmark.

A good friend of mine gave me a little Hallmark book for my 18th Birthday.
"Joys of Friendship : A Celebration of Girlfriends."
I had a perma-grin on my face the first time I read it nearly a year ago.
So many memories with this friend came floating back, along with memories of others.
This book has been sitting on my PG home bedroom dresser for the past year.
I picked it up tonight and again flipped through the pages, smiling and reminiscing.
Here are a few of my favorite lines..

"A friend is quick to listen, slow to judge, and always ready to shop."

"Laughing when they shouldn't be laughing is some of the best laughing friends do."

"A good friend knows what kind of ice cream to bring you when you're sick."

"A good friend can always find something good to say about your bad haircut."

"A good friend will quietly destroy the photograph that makes you look like a beached whale."

"Friendship is:
...laughing at the same things.
...one dessert and two forks.
...really being understood.
...never running out of things to talk about.
...borrowing each other's clothes.
...knowing someone by heart.
...being accepted unconditionally.
...having someone to cheer you on.
...picking up right where you left off.
...there when you need it."
"Between friends, words are optional."

"A friend is someone who keeps your secrets, laughs at your jokes, and can always tell the difference."

"Because the sun can't shine every day, we have good friends."

"Friendship: Good for the soul, lousy for the diet."

"There's no problem friends can solve with enough time and chocolate popcorn."

"Good friends don't mind when you sing along with the car radio."

"The very best friends have the kind of friendship where each thinks
she's getting the better part of the deal."

A big thank you to all you girls who are these kind of friends to me.
I'm getting the better part of the deal with each one of you.

testimony..

"In our hour of deepest sorrow, we can recieve profound peace from the words of the angel that first Easter Morning: "He is not here, for He is Risen."
-President Thomas S. Monson

I am so eternally grateful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He lived,
that He walked on this earth. I'm grateful for the never ending hours He spent in
that garden, bleeding from every pore, taking upon Him my every sin.
I know that He was left to die hanging on a cross, fulfilling the everlasting
atonement, and how grateful I am for that. He has made it possible for
me to live my life, surrounded by family and friends, feeling joy and happiness.
I love my brother and Savior Jesus Christ, and I know that He lives.

Happy Easter.
