His eyes are brown.
His name is Steven.
And I love him.
I'm not quite sure when it happened,
Maybe it was when he started shooting me with rubber bands,
Or it may have been when we danced for the first time at EFY.
Maybe it's all thanks to Mr. Moon,
Who we watched every night get bigger and smaller and then bigger again.
It may have happened the first time he sang "I Wanna Grow Old With You"
Outside building 802.
Or any other time he ever opened his mouth and sang,
Or played his guitar and serenaded me.
And maybe it was when he kissed me for the first time,
On that perfect 4th of July.
It could have been the night we went bowling in a parking lot,
And he showed off his juggling skills.
There's a good chance that it was when he woke up at 4:00 in the morning,
To drive up to Salt Lake for my Grandpa's funeral.
Or any moment that entire week before.
It doesn't matter really when it happened, I guess.
Just that it did.
It was unexpected, that's for sure.
Who knew that the red head who led my first day of training,
Would end up being the man of my dreams?
Not me, that's for sure,
But I'm sure glad that he is.
He's as good as gold,
With a testimony stronger than anyone I know.
When he sings, my knees get weak and I get butterflies in my tummy.
We have matching freckles on the back of our ears,
And he calls me Abigail.
He's a little bit of a clean freak.
And a little bit of a closet nerd,
And loves all things technology and law.
He appreciates nice things but isn't materialistic,
And he drives a retired cop car named "Old Faithful."
He keeps the greatest journals I've ever read,
And is the hardest worker I know.
My family adores him,
And I adore his,
And the best news is, is he's mine forever.
On November 24, 2012 he got on a knee and asked,
I laughed then cried then said yes.
