According To My iPhone It Happened.

i'm a big kid now. Romney2012.

Steven ran a 5K and won a coupon to a little Chinese place in Logan.
TJ ordered gross soup. And that's all I have to say about that.

Mom bought Dad a canoe for their anniversary, and we are all
appreciating it 10 fold. Too. Much. Fun.

I don't have a lot to say about this, except
"Happy Fall, everyone." Love, Steven.

I LOVE HIM.

Steven sews.
I don't.

They got married. Their wedding was perfect.

I had a bruise on my bum for a solid week.
A green and blue and black bruise, no less.

General Conference weekend was the greatest thing that has ever hit planet earth.

I promise, I will inherit that back porch swing. It's an obsession.

In more recent news,
This weekend included a lot of Chemistry homework,
a lot of driving,
and a trip to the ER.

Last night Steven and I had FFHE (future family home evening) over Skype.
Yes, we sang an opening song,
both said prayers in our heads,
(Steven opened his eyes during the prayer. Don't ask me how I know that),
he gave the lesson,
ate enough icecream for the both of us for treat,
and for activity, we sang and danced to Taylor Swift's "22."
Meaning, I danced for like a second and then fell over laughing at my ridiculous boyfriend
and the dance moves he was doing alone is his kitchen.
I'd post pictures, but I'd rather keep my life.
And my boyfriend.

As for that song, we've listened to it (his Uncle's cover, more on that coming soon)
at least 3 dozen times since Friday.

Life couldn't be better.

Stats test, anyone??

#longdistancerelationship

it's hard,
this long distance thing.
this 125 miles apart,
see each other once a week,
provo to logan and back again thing.

and some days it's particularly hard
and you miss him like mad
and you get frustrated
and you cry.
and you cry and you cry and you cry
and you wish he was there to hold you
to stroke your hair and wipe your tears
and tell you everything is going to be okay.

but instead he just looks at you via that brilliant thing called skype
and tells you he loves you again and again
and you wipe your tears and your runny nose with the sleeve of your sweatshirt
and you look at the clock and realized you stayed up too late again
and you both are going to feel like death in the morning
and then you cry some more.

and then he tells you that he loves you
more than anything since ever.
and how he can't wait for the future.
and you remember how lucky you are
and how silly those tears seem,
because really, you've never been happier.
never in a million years,
or twenty and a half to be exact.

and you wipe your eyes
and put your big girl pants on
and count down the hours til friday...

Luckiest.

Ben Folds said it best when he said,
"Where was I before the day that I first saw your lovely face?
Now I see it every day and I know I am the luckiest."

Something about the way he kisses my forehead when I'm snuggled up under his arm,
And the way he calls to tell me he misses me, minutes after I've left,
And the way he sings his heart out to the radio,
And the way he makes sure he's always holding my hand when he's introducing me to someone,
In a way that says "She's mine."
Something about the way he gets so worked up over a silly game of Canasta,
And the way that he sends me kisses through Skype,
And the way he tells story after story after story
About his childhood and his mission and his little brother Jordan.
There's something about the special bond that he's got with Loline,
That, for some reason, gives him all permission to gang up with her and tease and bully me mercilessly.
Something about the way he calls me if he has even one second to spare between class or before school,
Just because he wants to hear my voice.
Something about the way he takes me to Cafe Rio alllll the time because he knows I'm so obsessed,
And the way he wears skinny ties and perfectly tailored suits,
But doesn't mind when I rock sweats and buns on the top of my head,
And the way he asks about the details of things I didn't even know he'd noticed.

There's something about the way he tells me he loves me "more than anything since ever,"

That makes me sure

I'M THE LUCKIEST GIRL ALIVE.

Tail Lights.

We sat on the swing and talked about the trees on the mountains and the colors of fall.
I asked what was on his mind and he said "stuff." Like always.
He told me his thoughts on our church meetings and the fireside, & then a little about us and the future.
He asked what I was thinking, and before I could say anything,
Two little tears rolled down my cheeks.
He wiped them away as quickly as they had escaped, and I whispered "this is hard."
He nodded his head in agreement and then he just held me.
"It is hard." he said, "But it's worth it."
We talked and cried and I stared into those brown eyes.
There's nothing worse than saying goodbye.
He kissed me on the forehead and told me he loved me one last time before he got in his car.
I stood on my porch and watched his tail lights disappear around the corner before walking inside.
2 hours later, and he's 125 miles away.

"How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
